Accu-Coders™ Replace Existing Encoders Throughout Plant

The Company A large manufacturer of industrial waste recovery systems. The Problem The company had been experiencing an inordinate level of equipment failures in its systems, with the resulting unacceptable levels of downtime, as a result of problems with their historical supplier of encoders. This high failure rate was made worse by long lead times for obtaining replacement encoders, resulting in significant downtime, lost production and, more importantly, lost revenue.

The Solution
EPC reviewed the specifications and usage profile for the encoder then being used. As a result of this survey, the Model 755A from EPC's Round Series was recommended as a replacement. A unit was ordered using EPC's No Charge Express expedite service, with a second unit being ordered as a spare.

Not only was the customer up and running in no time, since the recommended unit was form, fit, and function replaceable for the original encoder, the Model 755A has to date experienced no operational failures despite a harsh factory environment. Because of this demonstrated combination of performance, reliability, and quick delivery, the customer has standardized on EPC as its encoder vendor of choice, and is replacing all existing encoders in the plant with EPC units.
